Yard Laborer
Position: Yard Laborer Location: Pickering Pay rate: $19 Shift: 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday (9-hour shift, 30 min. unpaid lunch) We are looking for a Yard Laborer for one of our clients in Pickering. As one of our General Laborers, you’ll provide direct support to the Heavy Equipment Mechanics and our facility. Responsibilities: · Conducting daily construction equipment inspections and reporting any defects, damages, or malfunctions · Staging, washing, cleaning, and prepping construction equipment for next service or repair order · Loading and unloading of trucks as required · Ensuring the upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of both the facility and yard area · Maintaining all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of our Rental Management System. · Supporting maintenance initiatives, including inventory control, stock counts, product placement, and back shop organization · Reporting any workplace hazards and helping to eliminate them. · Following all paperwork and computer procedures related to the maintenance of equipment · Safely handling and moving materials and equipment through the facility · Conducting yourself respectfully when dealing with coworkers, clients, or third-party suppliers · Adhering to and promoting our Company Safety Policies, including wearing required PPE · Completing other duties as assigned Requirements: · High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. · Minimum 1 year of experience in general labour, material handling, warehouse operations, or similar background · A self-starter with great organization and communication skills · Able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment · A G Driver’s license with a clean abstract is a bonus · Requirements: Steel Toed Safety Shoes. All other PPE will be provided on site · Must be willing to work outdoors 90% of the day, will need to provide winter clothing or rain clothing. · Primarily responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the yard · Must be able to count accurately · Must be able to communicate and work well with others · Must be able to lift a min of 50lbs. Network Tech
Position: Network Tech Location: Pickering Contract length: 12 months Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Night shift Weekends as needed Responsibilities Nurse Call Systems, Roam Alert, Maglocks, Access Control, CCTV and Network Infrastructure/Cabling Low Voltage Cabling – 22/6, 18/2 etc. Network Cabling (Cat 6a, Cat6, Cat 5e, Coax) Installation, Termination, Testing and Labelling Fibre Optic Cabling (multi-mode, single mode) Installation, Termination, Testing and Labelling Cabling Infrastructure Installation of (Cable Tray, Network Racking and cable management Installation of network hardware Access Points, Switches, Servers etc. Project Management/Forman for cabling projects Project Material Management Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Security, network/structured cabling in a commercial or enterprise setting Lift experience (boom, scissor, etc.) and comfortable working at heights Have their own toolbox (minimum cabling/hand tools), a vehicle (car, truck or van) in good working order with a valid Driver’s Licence Must have a clean driving record Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multitask Strong written and verbal communication skills must have a valid working at heights certification, Whmis and scissor lift certification.
